The treatment is no more painful than waxing, and is done by implanting pigments into the skin using
a digital machine and the finest quality of Karen Betts pigments.
Before Your Treatment
For the best results, semi-permanent makeup treatment is completed in two stages, the second treatment taking
place 4-6 weeks after the first one.
The initial result may look darker than expected, but this is normal immediately after the treatment. As
your skin heals, it will become lighter, usually within 10 days. Your skin may also be red and sensitive
directly after the procedure, but will be back to normal the day after.
If you have had any fillers or botox done within the past 3 months, the treatment cannot be carried out.
On the day of the procedure, please wear your normal every day makeup, excluding mascara.
If you are taking any medication, over the counter or not, please inform Nicola before the day of your treatment.
Please do not discontinue any medication without first consulting your GP. Please refrain from drinking any
alcoholic drinks in the 24 hours before the procedure.
These guidelines apply to all semi-permanent makeup treatments.
Before Lip Colour Treatment
If you wish to wax or bleach your lip, please be sure to complete this at least 2 weeks before the procedure.
Before Eyeliner Treatment
Please do not wear contact lenses during the procedure or directly after. You should be able to go back to wearing
them after 24 hours.
Eyelash extensions or false lashes cannot be worn during the treatment, and for 2 weeks after the treatment.
Please refrain from tinting or perming your eyelashes within 1 week before your treatment, and for 2 weeks
afterwards.
You may wish for someone else to drive you home after your treatment, as a safety precaution.
Before Eyebrow Treatment
Please do not tint your eyebrows within 1 week before your treatment, and for 2 weeks afterwards.
It is advised to have any eyebrow waxing completed at least 3 days before the treatment.
Cold Sores
If you have a history of cold sores it may be advisable to either speak to your doctor or obtain medication for use one week before your treatment, to try to avoid an outbreak (this applies when having lip tattooing, colour).
Patch Test Procedure
It is advisable to have a patch test and consultation done prior to treatment. Please call the salon to arrange this with our specialist.
